This is an early message for our Nation! "America! America! God shed His grace on thee!" America is in the greatest work of Grace that the world has ever seen! There is an awakening among Christians to once again stand up and lead this nation away from destruction into a greater freedom and prosperity! We are in a war but it is not a physical war with hands on combat! We are in a spiritual war where Satan is being ejected from this nation and its corrupt leadership! Listen Christian, you are not outnumbered and powerless! God is changing our country's government radically! It's time for you and I to stand along side our Jehovah God and watch the spiritual enemy fall before us! Don't be afraid as you watch transition in our government. God is overcoming the destruction and the corruption in our nation. God is taking His place in America once again and it's time for the Church to take her place in this powerful nation! Hope you have a "Blessed July 4th!" See you in Church this Sunday! God bless you! Pastor Dallas
One of the greatest deception of the Church is believing the lie that we do not evangelize because we don't know how! No amount of teaching can change that belief until one decides that they can. Jesus gave us the command and the enemy is still bringing confusion and unbelief to block the church from successful evangelism. Jesus said in Matthew 9:37-38 ... "(37) Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'" Prayer is the first call! We must pray for a spirit of evangelism to consume our community. Obedience is the second call. Get up, go out and do something! To bring people the truth of the gospel, it won't be through tradition and it won't be through religion. People are looking for a connection, a connection that leads to God. So, how do we do it? You can begin by finding other believers who are on the same spiritual page as you are and begin meeting together in common sharing. Start thinking of simple ways to make friends with unbelievers. Allow them to be a part of your life. Be a blessing to these people through fellowship and friendship. Once they find Jesus, then you can introduce them into the Church! The fields are definitely white unto harvest in this city! What are you going to do about it? See you in church tomorrow! God bless you! Pastor Dallas
Let's continue to build our foundation on revival and renewal. Remember, revival does not start with the glory! It starts with the hard thing of repentance that comes with conviction and godly sorrow. Then comes the good thing that culminates with the continued manifestation of the presence of God that aligns our hearts and lives with the Father's will! Then the Fire falls! God did this same thing with the seven churches of Revelation. The emphasis back then was the same as today, repentance had to come in order for revival to be released. Blessing and reward was promised on the truly repentant churches of Revelation. To those churches who would not repent was the promise of certain judgment! Let's agree with God and see revival fire consume River of Life! I WILL SEE YOU IN CHURCH TOMORROW! God bless you! Pastor Dallas
How is your relationship with the Lord this morning? Are you on fire for Jesus? It's sad to say that the daily life of many Christians in their conduct and conversation marks their relationship with God. It's so easy to slip into a mundane, complacent, and even sinful lifestyle. We need to be revived! We need to see that our walls of commitment and love are in ruins and need to be rebuilt! Once again, we come back to II Corinthians 13:5 that says, "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith! Test yourselves! Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you; unless indeed you are disqualified?" Let's spend our idle time in building a strong relationship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit instead of doing the things of the world that will not produce fruit! Hope to see you in church tomorrow! God bless you! Pastor Dallas
Judgement. We don't like to talk about that topic even though the Bible spends quite a bit of time explaining it. Revelation 21:12 says, "And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with me, to give to every man according to his work shall be." This judgment does not involve our salvation but our works and subsequent rewards. Each act of our lives has been recorded and will be judged from the standpoint of both our zeal and our motives. All our works will be weighed on the basis of whether we have labored for the love and glory of God or for self-praise and the glory of man. What have you built on the foundation of Jesus Christ? Have you given the Lord gold, silver and precious stones, or wood, hay and stubble. Are our lives filled with hidden motives of pride or pure motives of love? See you in Church tomorrow! God bless you! Pastor Dallas
Congratulations to our graduates!
Praying for our graduates who are moving on to the next chapter in their lives. Congratulations to the #classof2019 and be blessed in Jesus' mighty name.
Paul instructed the Christians in the Church of Colosse to "put off the old man and put on the new man." How do you do that? You must learn to feed your spirit and starve your flesh. There are spiritual exercises that can help you to do just that under the power of the Holy Spirit. There are five spiritual exercises that can help you do that. The first one is worship. How much time do you spend in true private worship? The second one is meditation. Speak to yourself the Word of God throughout your day and then practice what you speak. The third one is confession. Confessing the Word out loud will help to renew your mind and build faith into your spirit. The fourth one is fasting. This is a purging tool. It will help you overcome the lusts of the flesh, strongholds in your mind and every hindrance to your spiritual growth. The fifth one is praying in the Holy Ghost or praying in other tongues. This is one of the greatest tools that God has given us for living the Spirit-filled life. Begin and practice these exercises and see how fast you grow! Monday is Memorial Day! Spend some time meditating on how people sacrifice everything, including their lives, for what they believe in! God bless you and I will see you in Church tomorrow! Pastor Dallas
A relationship with God requires a daily life commitment. Have you checked your "daily life" lately to see what it really looks like? You see, it's the daily life of a Christian in their conduct and conversation that marks their relationship with God. It's so easy to slip into a mundane, complacent, and even sinful lifestyle unless you allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you through the Word of God and admonish you in certain areas. In the early churches, there were men including Paul that admonished the churches in Holy living. Paul reminded the church to "put off the old man and to put on the new man." Peter encouraged the early Christians to "make their calling and election sure lest they stumble". John told the early Christians "not to love the world". Jude admonished them "to earnestly contend for the faith". Like the early Christians, we all need renewal in the Spirit! We all need personal revival! The best place to start is found in the letters written to the Church at Corinth. Paul told them to "examine themselves" and to "judge themselves." Why not begin today a work of self-examination working with the Holy Spirit to bring yourself back into harmony with God the Father? See you in church tomorrow! God bless you! Pastor Dallas
Tomorrow is Mother's Day and we want to invite all our mothers to the Sunday Morning Service. We will have a time of celebration for our mothers. I want to also salute our mothers with a short story demonstrating the love of mother! A little boy forgot his lines in a Sunday School presentation. His mother was in the front row to prompt him. She gestured and formed the words silently with her lips, but it did not help. Her son's memory was blank. Finally, she leaned forward and whispered on cue: "I am the Light of the world." The child's face lit up and with great feeling and a loud clear voice said, "my mother is the light of the world!" Thanks to all the mothers who are always there for your children! May you receive a special blessing on this day of recognition! Pastor Dallas
Have you ever wondered why there is so much sickness and disease among Christians today? No question that we have the knowledge about healing but what is hindering healing? Sickness is a curse but as a Christian, sickness cannot come upon us because Christ redeemed us from the curse! Proverbs 26:2 says "Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, so a curse without cause shall not alight." The curse causeless, or without a cause, will not come. So what is the cause? Our lack of "consecration!" Consecration means to "be totally dedicated to something." Our life in Christ Jesus is to be totally dedicated to Jehovah God! Think about it! The only reason listed in the scripture for sickness is found in I Corinthians 11:30 ... "For this reason many are weak and sick among you and many sleep (are dead.)" What is the reason? It's found in the previous verse. Verse 29 ... "For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body." Totally consecrated means that we must totally discern the Lord's physical body that was broken for us for our physical health, and we must also discern that the Lord's spiritual body is one and we must walk in love and forgiveness toward every member. Unforgiveness and a lack of love opens the door for the curse of sickness and disease! Something to meditate upon! Hope to see you in the Body of Christ tomorrow! God bless you! Pastor Dallas
ATTENTION: River of Life - we will meet at our regular scheduled time tonight at 7:00p. Be advised that there is more traffic than normal on 277 and 57 so plan on leaving early to arrive on time. Drive safe on the road, and let God protect you on the way. We will see you there!
Jesus gave us a prayer that we call the "Lord's Prayer." Many people use it every day, some have memorized the prayer, others only use it when something is wrong. This prayer is truly a blessing to those who believe! Yet, the verse that follows this prayer is mostly ignored by many Christians today! Matthew 6:14-15 ... "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. (15) But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Why is it that many Christians literally choose to not pay attention to what Jesus said about unforgiveness! Do you understand what Jesus is really saying? You must forgive (no option) if you hope to be forgiven yourself! It also means that you are not to bear any malice, nor meditate on revenge or retaliation; you are not to wish hurt upon that person or rejoice when something bad happens to them! You are not responsible for his/her work of repentance. You are responsible for your own repentance! Think about it! How can you live the life of a Christian knowing that God is NOT forgiving you of your sins? How can you step into eternity knowing that God has never forgiven you? Pastor Dallas
ATTENTION: Wednesday night service has been cancelled tonight due to the weather. We will have our regular Sunday services on time. Be blessed in Jesus name.
Be sure you remember our Easter Celebration starts at 10:00 am tomorrow! We will start promptly at 10:10 am! Also have your Resurrection Offering ready and we will pray over these before we take them to the altar. Also a reminder, we will have a baptism service in the Sunday morning service May 5th. If you have never been baptized scripturally or you have recently received Jesus into your heart, scripture directs us to follow Jesus in baptism. Please let me know before that Sunday so we can prepare for you. Pastor Dallas
Easter is a time that we should celebrate every day! That morning at the grave of Jesus was the birth of salvation for those who would believe! The words of the Angel were very powerful as he declared the fulfilled promise of God. Matthew 28:5-6 ... "Then the angel spoke to the women. 'Don't be afraid! I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. (6) He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as He said would happen. Come, see where His body was lying.'" Jesus paid it all for our sins! It's time for us to be more grateful for what He did. Let's give Him our obedience and submission ! God bless you and hope to see you tomorrow as we "Celebrate Jesus!" Pastor Dallas
This morning, I want to address a tragic phenomenon that is rapidly occurring around our nation. It is being called the decline of the Church. The purpose of the Church relies on the heart of the people who attend them. The writer of Hebrews 10:24-25 clearly defines God's intention. "(24) And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, (25) not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching." The decline of the Church is not hindered by external forces. We the people are hindering growth by our own lack of love, commitment, selflessness, and evangelistic urgency. Many Christians are allowing other interests to draw them away from being an active part of the Body of Christ! As a result, we are seeing between 6,000 and 10,000 Churches in the U.S. that are dying each year! That means 100-200 Churches will close this week! We know what is happening in River Of Life Church! What about other Churches and their people? What will you commit to do about this problem? God bless you! Pastor Dallas
